A new piece of theatre based on the life and work of Samuel Beckett will play in Dublin this November. Titled The Beckett List, we are told that the show ‘chronicles the author’s journey from quiet beginnings in turn of the century Dublin to the publication of Waiting for Godot. Alongside key events from his biography, this production brings his characters to life, inviting audiences to wait for Godot, play the Endgame, experience why Beckett earned the 1969 Nobel Prize in Literature and delve into his world’.

The show, which is presented by An Táin Arts Centre’s Community Company in Residence, Encore Productions in association with RehabCare, is written and directed By Sandy Sneddon. All the actors are drawn from RehabCare’s services in Dundalk. Encore productions was the recipient of an Irish Healthcare Centre Award last year recognising their innovations in delivering a social care service with a serious theatrical focus within a professional arts setting.

The show plays for one night at the Samuel Beckett Theatre at Trinity College Dublin on 4 November at 7PM.
